2016 MAZDA MX5 MIATA REDESIGN, This is the fourth generation of the best-selling two seater sport car. It is recipient of over 200 awards from around the world and now it is time to show us its redesigned beauty. The Miata or MX-5 or Roadster, depending where you are living, has adopted the brand’s KODO design language. The MX-5 was already a lightweight car, but some rumors say that its engineers have shaved off about 220 pounds more. It is rough car and weight of just 2,200 pounds for this roadster is more than stunning. The new Miata also became shorter by 3 inches and thinner by half an inch. The design team made the hood lower and longer and pulled the A-pillar back while raking the windshield even more. New 2016 Mazda MX-5 Miata will also have a little bit aggressive fascia instead smiley face like the current model had. It has a much larger grille, squinter headlights and a lower, wider bumper but still keeps its recognizable simplicity. Other engineering points of interest include electric power steering, double wishbone front suspension, some rear suspension and 16 or 17 inches alloy wheels. Inside the 2016 Mazda MX-5 Miata, much of the gear is borrowed from the Mazda 3. That includes the rotary control knob in the center console and the infotainment perched on the top of the dashboard. There are also Bluetooth and USB connectivity, a couple of flimsy pop-up cup holders, a windblocker and other features. The Miata has never been the car for straight-line performance. It has always been a sport car that you don’t have to break low and speed limits to enjoy. Under the hood we will see the 2.0 liter 4 cylinder Skyactive engine. This engine is capable to produce 155 horsepower. A six speed manual transmission will remain as standard and an automatic transmission on 2016 Mazda MX-5 Miata will be optional.
When it comes to pricing, there has nothing been announced yet. Some speculations are that the starting price of 2016 Mazda MX-5 Miata will be around $20,000.
