Okay, the soft-top might be a bit lighter option, everything else is the same. Styling wise, the 2018 Jeep Wrangler Two-Door won’t differ from the four-door model as well. Yes, it’s going to ride on a shortened wheelbase, but everything else will be pretty much the same.
2018 Jeep Wrangler Model Features
The SUV sports a new more aggressive front end styling with unchanged, round headlight yet redesigned grille and totally different bumper, which appears to be pretty much the same as Hard Rock’s. The new hood might feature a new shape. However, it will latch near the front of the fenders as usually. Around back, the camouflaged prototype still hides everything, so we are can’t see anything but a spare tire in its usual place.
2018 Jeep Wrangler Engine Performance
Wrangler’s new bodywork will feature more aluminum, but that’s not going to be as extensive as we expected. Still, a bit lighter body will definitely fix fuel economy numbers, especially since the 2018 Jeep Wrangler Two-Door is getting far better options under the hood. Aside it’s going to offer an updated a 3.6-litre Pentastar V6, which is rumored to deliver up to 320 horsepower, the iconic off-roader will also host an all-new turbocharged 2.0-liter Hurricane mill. The option will reportedly produce 300 hp – more than enough for a small two-door version.
However, the four-cylinder will also have a softer option, which will power the base 2018 Jeep Wrangler Two-Door. Do we need to mention that the SUV is also getting a diesel? It’s a 3.0-liter EcoDiesel, currently capable of developing 240 hp and 420 lb-ft of twist.
The car manufacturer is also doing everything to build a worthy hybrid powertrain for its best-selling nameplate. However, regardless of the fact how common you’ve heard about the arrival of the 2018 Jeep Wrangler hybrid, that’s not going to happen this year. No, the electric help will come sometime later, perhaps in 2019.
