2017 RAM 1500 SRT Hellcat Review, Power has never been lacking with Chrysler vehicles and the engine available in the 2017 RAM 1500 SRT Hellcat takes that to new level. A completely new power source is available with the motor borrowed from the Challenger model. The new supercharged V8 5.7 liter engine is a brute. The power is awesome with 707 horsepower created along with an impressive 650 Nm torque. That will get you wherever you need to go. And get there very fast. The 2017 RAM 1500 SRT accelerates from 0 to 100km/h in a breathtaking 4 seconds. Smoothness and performance is guaranteed with the 8 speed TorqueFlite automatic transmission with paddle shifter. A manual gearbox is also available. Fuel consumption is expected in around 5 km/l in the city and 9.3 km/l on the open road. A bit heavy on fuel, but not bad if one considers the monster under the hood.On the exterior the 2017 RAM 1500 SRT Hellcat resemble the familiar Charger Hellcat and the new Challenger Hellcat. The aggressive, mean look is enhanced with new re-shaped grille and bigger alloy rims. The current 20 inch wheels are gone, with 22 inch replacing them as standard and 24-inch provided as optional. Add to that the cosmetic improvements like a redesigned front bumper, improved new fog-lights and the eye-catching SRT badges, and you have a truck that will turn heads wherever it goes. You will notice colored A- and B-pillars, as per their production trucks and new large Brembo brakes. The chassis is lower than precious models and give this truck a sporty look about it.The interior maintains the classy look. One has to pinch oneself to remember you are inside a truck and not a luxurious German saloon. The feeling of luxury is conveyed by the treated timber and beautiful upholstery. New seats will be fitted in the 2017 RAM 1500 SRT Hellcat. The perfectly designed console will feature a brand new Harmon Kardon stereo music center controlled on an 8.4 inch display screen. A U-connect system gives you access to information and entertainment. New carbon fiber details together with a flat-bottom steering wheel and a SRT Gauge Cluster impressed even the most skeptical. With the different dashboard and more contemporary fittings like the blind spot monitors, that comes standard, and electronic safety systems, you get the finished product.
