2017 Ford Ranger Redesign, Great improvements were achieved in the segment fuel economy. 2017 Ford Ranger has reduced fuel consumption by 17% compared to the previous model. For the new model, the company has foreseen two diesel engines. These are the 2.2 L TDCi diesel engine with 160 horsepower and a 3.2 L TDCi diesel engine with 200 horsepower. The transfer of engine power to the wheels is made via 6-speed transmission. Customers were allowed to choose the version with automatic or manual transmission. Also on offer will be versions with 2WD and 4WD. Of course, the version with the diesel engine, is intended for customers in the European market. This stylish pickup will be offered in XL, XLT, Limited (XLS Australia) and Wildtrak versions. For markets outside Europe, the XL version will be offered with a petrol 2.5 L Duratec engine, which develops 165 horsepower and 226 Nm of torque. Something better equipped, XLT version shall dispose of the 3.2 L Duratorq diesel engine with five cylinders and a 20 valve. This engine delivers 197 horsepower at 3,000 rpm and maximum torque of 470 Nm at 1.500 to 2.750 rpm. The same engine is also in charge the launch of 2017 Ford Ranger Wildtrak models. The Ford Ranger will lead the battle for supremacy in the market with VW Amarok, the Mazda BT-50 and Isuzu D-MAX pickup models and in the future. However, it should be noted that Ranger is ahead of the competition in many respects. Distinctive features of his sense of space in the cabin, off-road characteristics, performance, and the new economy improvement put it far ahead of the competition. Our opinion is that the new 2017 Ford Ranger retain primacy in the class.
