2017 Ford F250 Super Duty, The last time that the 2017 Ford F-250 was seen was when it was undergoing some test drives in the desert. Since that time Ford has not found it necessary to provide any new information about the vehicle though a few amateur pictures of the F-250 have set in motion a number of stories about it. These pictures show the F-250 in an unmasked state and give us an idea about what Ford is planning to do with their new Super Duty truck. What seems to be clear is that the body style of the new offering from Ford will not be very different to the body of its larger counterparts. This means that the 250 will share a few things with the F-350 and F 450 models.Changes are going to be made to the exteriors of the new F-250. In particular, the front fascia will look different because of a redesigned grille that has two massive chrome bars, which makes this grille totally different to the grilles of previous Ford models. Also, the new grille does not have a frame and this is another differentiating feature that helps to set the new F-250 apart from earlier models. Though these changes do make the F-250 look different, we notice that Ford has not made any changes to the size of the vehicle. However, because the body is going to be constructed out of metal, it does mean that the new F-250 will be lighter in weight than the earlier model. In fact, the new vehicle should weigh about 700 pounds less than the previous model. As for what Ford plans to put under the bonnet; we think that the company will continue to use the same engines that it has been using thus far. The first engine option is the 6.2-liter V8 engine that is capable of producing 385 horsepower and 405 pound feet of torque. A second engine option to be offered will be the more powerful 6.7-liter V8 turbocharged engine that produces a nice 440 horsepower and excellent 860 pound feet of torque. These figures may vary but one thing is for certain and that is that the engines will produce plenty of power and also deliver good fuel economy at the same time. These engines may also be mated to a brand new transmission, which instead of being the existing 6-speed automatic may well turn out to be the new 10-speed gearbox that is currently being developed by both Ford and GM. This 10-speed transmission will most probably be placed on the rear wheel drive versions and the all-wheel drive versions may continue to use the 6-speed gearboxes.
