2017 Ford Expedition Hybrid Redesign, The 2017 Ford Expedition Hybrid will have eight different models that buyers can choose from. SUV fans will be spoiled for choice in 2016. The models are; XLT, XLT EL, Limited, Limited EL, King Ranch, King Ranch EL, Platinum and Platinum EL. Standard and optional features will probably be found across all 8 models. Luxury will likely increase the higher you go up the trim levels. The current V8 engine will be replaced with a 3.5 litre EcoBoost V6 Ti-VCT twin turbocharged engine. The engine has an output of 365 hp and 420 pound – feet of torque. The new engine will have a lower fuel rating than the previous model. This will occur because the engine will come with an electric power servo steering wheel and transmission, this will significantly decrease the current 16 miles per gallon in the city and 23 miles per gallon on the highway rating it has. Rear wheel drive and a 6 speed automatic transmission will come standard on all 2017 Expedition models. All-wheel drive will be available as an option. There is speculation that Ford engineers will be adding a ten speed gearbox to the new Expedition range.Despite the SUVs bulky and heavy weight look, the car will actually be produced using material that is light weight like aluminum and boron steel. The Expedition has shed about 300 pounds. The front fascia of the vehicle has a contemporary look that is sharp and polished. Expected changes to the front of the car include a remodeled grille that has chrome, a redesigned bumper as well as new head lamps with LED. LED lighting is known to need very little power while providing a great vision of the road. Twenty two inch wheels will complete the sharp look of the SUV and as a luxury benefit the doors will have a capability of being opened automatically.
