2016 Toyota 4Runner TRD Pro, Mpg, Some changes have been made to the interiors of the 2016 Toyota 4Runner. These changes are actually borrowed from the Land Cruiser. The changes affect the seats and also include a navigational system unit with its own application environment. Thanks to this system the driver is able to customize his or her personal preferences. The materials used in the interiors include leather as well as plastic – both of which are offered as standard features. A sat navigation system is offered as an extra option on the base version only.Changes have also been made to the outside of the 2016 Toyota 4Runner. However, these changes are not as radical as the changes that have been made to the interiors of the 4Runner. The changes that have been made to the exteriors help to make the 4Runners look more refreshed. The headlights used are not the same as in earlier models, and the same can be said of the taillights. A new set of wheels is also offered.A new engine will probably power the 4Runner. Gone is the antiquated 4.0-liter V6 engine that powered up previous models. This engine did not perform well on the fuel economy factor and hence has been replaced with a new 3.5-liter V6 engine that produces more power and delivers better fuel economy. This engine is capable of producing 300 horsepower and 290 pound feet of torque, which represents a 10 percent improvement over the earlier model. Gone too is the gearbox used in the previous model. It has been replaced by a 6-speed automatic transmission that transfers power to either the wheels at the back or to a 4-wheel drive system. Toyota may also think about offering a hybrid version though this is not very likely because the hybrid’s fuel economy will not be on par with fuel economy delivered by other hybrids.
