2016 Lotus Evora - Lotus Cars Review
Welcome to Raiacars.com, The next review about 2016 Lotus Evora from Lotus cars. Let's see more specification, concept and review details for this cars below.
Lotus CEO Jean-Marc Gales in a recent interview with Autocar. Gales, whose previous roles included running French auto giant Peugeot Citroën, said the updated 2016 Lotus Evora will feature changes inside and out, and benefit from about 15 percent more power and an equal percentage weight loss. The current 2016 Evora weighs about 3,170 pounds and delivers 276 horsepower as standard and 345 hp in supercharged Evora S trim. Power will continue to come from a Toyota sourced V-6 that, like the current Evora, will include a range-topping, go-fast, supercharged option. Gales confirmed the next one will have more power, but wouldn’t be pressed into saying how much. “There will be nothing faster on track than these cars and nothing more fun.” There will be additional variants too, Some possibilities are a track-focused variant along the lines of the previous Evora Cup race car, as well as a convertible. along with the car’s basic aluminum structure. Lotus pitches the Evora as a 2+2 model with small rear seats, an impressive feat for a mid-engined car that puts its engine in the same neighborhood as the passenger compartment. We’ll likely see a few tweaks similar to what we saw with the most recent Elise facelift in 2010. Also a possibility is a wider and more aggressive. Gales says the Evora’s platform is pretty malleable allowing significant changes to the wheelbase and other dimensions and makes changes like this very feasible. This same chassis malleability will benefit interior space and comfort too. A comprehensively updated interior is also in the works. Lotuses aren’t exactly known for lavish interiors, but expect more leather, and updated instruments and infotainment. Lotus currently has 45 dealers in North America and plans to open additional dealers in key market areas in Canada and the U.S. in the next few months. The Porsche Cayman is the closest rival to the 2016 Lotus Evora.
