2016 Jeep Gladiator Review, The all new Jeep Gladiator will be based on the platform of the four door Jeep Wrangler. Wearing an army look and feel, proud of being a true successor to it’s heroic fathers, the new Gladiator looks ready to conquer any terrain. The front of the new Gladiator will share most of it’s design with the Wrangler, with the addition of dual lamps integrated on the front bumper. The spare wheel is located on the side of the car, resembling the 1940s Dodge models. At the back, the car features a tailgate and a couple of small, square shaped taillights. At the end of the 1.72 meter long bed, Gladiator features two additional doors for rear seats access.2016 Jeep Gladiator interiorOn the inside, the Jeep Gladiator keeps the design to a minimum. As in many other true workhorse models, the Gladiator’s dashboard features only the important elements. Although the driver and his rightside passenger might feel quite comfortable, the back seat passengers might not share the same impressions, as the rear bench is pretty cosy, to say the least. The rear seats will, most likely, be built with the possibility of removing them, thus allowing for an easy access to the bed through the rear door.2016 Jeep Gladiator auto showThe new 2016 Jeep Gladiator will feature two engines to choose from. The first, more powerful, is a 3.6 liter naturally aspirated V6, which is capable of delivering 285 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque. The other option, put on the table for people who are concerned with the fuel consuption, is a 2.8 liter 4 cylynder inline diesel, which delivers 160 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque. The latter option is also suited for tasks that involve heavy load transportation, due to it being able to provide more torque. The V8 option is remained uncertain, but things may change until the finalization of the model in 2017. Both engines will accompany the 6 speed automatic transmission system and a set of lockable differentials, inherited for the Wrangler. The 8 speed automatic may be introduced as another option, as well as an AWD drivetrain, but it is not yet confirmed.
