2016 Honda HRV Crossover Redesign, The New 2016 Honda HRV crossover will be built on an enlarged version of the Fit (which was redesigned for 2015 and made slightly shorter, wider and roomier, particularly for those in the rear seats). the HR-V has the appearance of a coupe, with a low-slung nose and a curvaceous rear daylight opening with a definite half-moon shape.2016 Honda HRV is a 10 inches shorter in overall length, 1.5 inches shorter in height and 2 inches narrower than the CR-V, the HR-V offers an alternative for those who need space for passengers and gear without the family-sized footprint.The new 2016 Honda HRV interior also incorporates the Fit’s interior flexibility, with rear seatbacks that fold flat and seat cushions that can fold up from the floor. The passenger seat can also lay nearly flat, creating a cargo channel from the tailgate to the dash. Folding the HR-V’s rear seats yields an impressive 59 cubic feet of cargo space not much less than more midsize crossovers like the Chevrolet Equinox.2016 Honda HRV has lifted the center console, integrating a sliding arm-rest for the driver’s elbow, and leaving space for a “Console Pocket” cubby under the gearstick. It’s not just a place to drop your phone, either, with up to two USB ports, an HDMI input, and a 12V power outlet. As for infotainment, Honda has a basic AM/FM/CD system for the entry-level LX, but things get more interesting on the EX and EX-L Navi, which have the Honda 7-inch Display Audio and 7-inch Display Audio Navigation systems respectively.The New HRV get 141-horsepower engine delivers most of its torque right off the line. The HR-V’s 1.8-liter engine produces 138 horsepower and 127 pound-feet of torque. The basic platform is shared with the Fit, giving Honda a smaller model to slot below the CR-V in its lineup. New HRV is getting it in a single big punch at lower revs helps you keep up with high-speed traffic and gives you more control on forest roads by feathering the throttle.
