Additionally, there is also Honda’s Magic Seat that enables the seats to be folded flat for more cargo space. There will be three trim variants offering different and upgraded technology features, namely LX, EX and EX-L. On higher trim levels, we can expect leather furnished seats, a touchscreen centre console and a high on utility dashboard.

On higher trim levels, there will be SiriusXM radio, heated front seats, navigation, etc.Visually, the 2016 Honda HR-V is a very attractive vehicle that is different from both CR-V and Fit. The over all blocky rear end and heavy cut angles have given way to much smoother exterior design that makes it look more elegant. It has received an overall sporty visual treatment with prominent horizontal lines and stance like that of a coupe. On its front, there is a large grille designed like a honeycomb with two tiers and has LED equipped headlights to increase the car’s aggressiveness quotient. This vehicle will ride on 17 inch alloy wheels that look superb when in motion.Honda Civic’s engine makes an entry under the hood of this vehicle for the first time ever, though with some minor sacrifice is power. The 1.8 litre 4-cylinder engine would be able to produce a maximum horsepower of 138 compared to Civic’s 143 hp producing unit. This engine will be paired to a 6-speed auto or manual transmission and come on either all-wheel or two-wheel drive. Even though fuel economy rate of 2016 Honda Hr-V has still not been revealed, we expect it to be similar to Civic’s fuel economy, which records at 30 mpg on city, 33 mpg on combined and 39 mpg on highways. Its two main competitors based on performance will be Kia Soul and Chevrolet Trax.
