2016 Ford Taurus SHO Redesign, Engine, Price, The exterior of the new Ford Taurus SHO 2016 full-size sedan is an exact replica of the 2015 Escort sedan in terms of the big wheels, Shelby-inspired front bumper and honeycomb grille, so there is not much visual attraction involved with the external styling of the new Taurus.
The 2016 Taurus SHO is just an expansion of the Chinese Escort. However, higher end models of the new sedan are equipped with redesigned LED headlights and a chrome bar grille, which is similar to that of the Ford Fusion, whereas its basic models will probably share a lower air intake bumper pattern. The sight of the back of the vehicle is extremely nondescript, with taillights, carrying the style of those of Escort and a trunk-fixed, horizontal chrome bit across connecting the light clusters. Sitting upon an extended and broadened version of the MKZ and Fusion platform, the Ford Taurus SHO 2016 takes on a traditional approach to interior styling and in its place, choosing amplified apparent quality with the best materials and comfort features assisted by improved ergonomics.
Aside from enhanced interior space, buyers can also expect some luxury features chucked in, such as heated and ventilated seats, cue massaging, the next-generation Sync 3 infotainment system of Ford, a complete set of driver-assist skills and a Jaguar-imitating rotating gear selector. Though the Powertrain of the new Ford Taurus SHO is not yet confirmed by Ford, according to rumors there is a possibility of equipping the new vehicle with a V6, 2.7-liter EcoBoost engine, which is capable of producing a maximum of 315 HP power and 350 lbs per foot torque. This engine also offers the vehicle better acceleration that makes it to attain the velocity of 60 mph from the start in 5.2 seconds, with the maximum velocity of 160 mph. The engine will be combined with an 8 or 9-speed automatic transmission with with paddle shifters to offer the new SHO a faster performance than the earlier model. The new SHO is expected to come with the all-wheel drive system as standard, which is capable of transmitting 70% of its power to the back wheels. There are rumors about 2.3-liter and 3.5-liter V6 engines for the new SHO, but it is all speculation, soon we will find out.
