2016 Ford Edge Redesign, Like we mentioned earlier, the 2016 Ford Edge will sport a significant change in design language mainly observed in the front and back end of this vehicle. Starting off with the new grille shape, the headlights will get slimmer and merged seamlessly with the grille. Its rear end will get a modified spoiler and taillights using LED technology along with front lights. The rest of the car’s lines and curves slightly resemble to those found in Grand Cherokee. Aerodynamics has improved and overall body shape has acquired a perfect combination of masculinity and elegance. Ford seems to have hit just the right notes to make this model a top seller when it releases. Inside of the 2016 Ford Edge, there will be only the best quality luxury and comfort features to make every ride memorable. Dashboard and instrument panel will not be much different than those found in Blue Oval’s lineup. A touch screen display will be placed on top of the dashboard from where you can use MyFord infotainment system. Heated leather seats will be provided as a standard feature and can be upgraded to perforated and cooled variants. Ford has never been known to compromise on either safety or technological features, and this time should be no different. This car will come packed with Sony premium sound-system with 12 speakers, parking assist, navigation, blind-spot navigation, etc.The 2016 Ford Edge will come will various types of powertrain options that will be the envy of its competitors. Some of the engines in discussion are: 2.0 litre EcoBoost twin-turbo Inline-4 gasoline engine that will deliver 245 hp at maximum. The towing capacity of this model with be at 3500 pounds. 3.5 litre V6 Duratec gasoline engine that can produce up to 285 hp and 255 lb-ft of torque. This engine is the same one that was found in the car’s earlier version. 2.7 litre EcoBoost V6 engine with gasoline base producing horsepower of amazing 325 hp and torque of 375 lb-ft. Fuel economy of these engines has been recorded to be around 17 and 23 mpg on an average in city and highway drive respectively.
