2016 Chevy Cruze is the very first model to be offered with a new Ecotec engine. This engine was developed by producer in collaboration with SAIC. It will be available with four-cylinder 1.4 L turbo engine and 1.5 L Ecotec aspirated engine. 1.4-liter engine with turbocharger develops 140 hp and 173 Nm of torque, while 1.5 – liter Ecotec engine develops 113 hp and 108 Nm of torque. The brand new Cruze will be available with three different types of transmission, including the six-speed transmission, which was created in European plant, the third-generation S6 six-speed transmission and new DCG seven-speed transmission with double clutch.
