2015 Nissan Silvia S16, Regarding the exterior, the old boxy, low-profile Silvia is surely history. But on the other hand, Nissan’s engineers could apply a few retro-looking parts for the 240 SX fans. The official design is still unavailable, but some renderings show that the future 2015 Nissan Silvia S16 will hold on to the low profile, but with a much more modernized and futuristic appearance. Having that in mind, we can expect the Nissan’s trademark grille and a set of sharp-looking lights, as well as round, highlighted fenders.2015 Nissan Silvia S16 gaugesThe interior will come with high quality materials and features. This sporty coupe will also offer a decent level of comfort, as well as some upscale touches. Furthermore, Silvia’s cabin will probably have a similar look to the 370Z’s interior, since they will be siblings when 2015 Nissan Silvia S16 comes out. The difference is that the S16 will come with a couple of seats more, which might reduce the interior space a bit. As far as the technology is concerned, Silvia will be offered with a touch screen infotainment system, as well as navigation. Safety features will include a full airbag system, ABS with auto brake, traction and stability controls, and some optional features such as a back view camera and blind spot monitors.Under the hood, the 2015 Nissan Silvia S16 will be equipped with a 2.0 l engine, which will borrow some mechanical components from the Nissan Juke’s MR16DDT 1.6-liter inline-4 turbo engine. The new power unit is going to be able to deliver up to 200 hp and 217 lb-ft of torque. The other engine that might find its way to the unit lineup, is the 1.8 l unit, based on the engine that can be found in the Mercedes C180 model. This is a very possible option, since Nissan and Mercedes have established an engine as well as a platform-sharing-partnership. This 1.8 l turbo powered unit is capable of pumping out up to 156 hp and over 184 lb-ft of torque; peaking from 1600 rpm to 4200 rpm. As far as the rival models are concerned, if the new Silvia’s engine doesn’t receive some overhauling and becomes capable of delivering at least 200 hp, the Subaru and the Scion FS-R rivals, are definitely going to stay ahead of the new s16 model.
