2015 Ford Flex Changes Review, 2015 Ford Flex is minivan along with space for up to seven passengers and all of their gear. The 2015 changes modify the retro styling signs out of the Flex, especially with the even more modern grille, but Ford had to try something.New Flex is the stylistic extrovert of Ford’s range of people-haulers thanks to a striking, boxy-chic body with more horizontal lines than a Frank Lloyd Wright house. Ford recently made the look even more unique by adding an unusual chrome bar that spans the length of the grille and flows into the headlights on either side. The base 2015 Ford Flex is a 3.5-liter V6 gained 20 additional horsepower as part of the recent refresh for total of 285 ponies in addition to 255 lb-ft of torque. With front-wheel-drive, it returns 18 mpg in the city and 25 mpg on the highway, while opting for all-wheel-drive reduces mileage slightly to 17/23 mpg. Power-hungry buyers can choose a twin-turbocharged and direct-injected 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 that produces 355 horsepower and 350 lb-ft of torque. This motor comes only with all-wheel-drive, a pairing that’s good for 16/23 mpg. Both engines are mated to a six-speed automatic transmission, which comes with a pair of paddle shifters in EcoBoost equipped-flexes.The Flex comes in three trim levels: SE, SEL and Limited. The base SE comes pretty well equipped, with feature highlights including 17-inch wheels, rear parking sensors, the Sync voice command system and a six-speaker CD stereo. The midlevel SEL adds 18-inch wheels, dual-zone automatic climate control, the MyFord Touch electronics interface, an enhanced Sync system, heated front seats and a 12-speaker stereo with satellite radio.2015 New Ford Flex Limited gains 19-inch wheels, xenon headlights, a power liftgate, keyless ignition/entry, a blind-spot warning system, a rearview camera, a navigation system and an upgraded sound system with HD radio. Notable options, depending on the trim level, include a multipanel sunroof, second-row captain’s chairs, a refrigerated second-row console, adaptive cruise control and an automated parallel parking system.
