2015 Fiat 500L SubCompact Crossover, 2015 Fiat 500L shares a look and most of its name with Fiat two-door models, it isn’t actually related to the Fiat 500 hatchbacks and convertibles. The tall 500L wagon is instead a version of Fiat’s European-market Punto hatchback. This 500L is bigger (i.e. longer) by 8.3 inches, thereby adding cargo space and, to our eyes, filling out the natural profile of the slightly scrunched design of the standard 500L. You can maximize your 500L Living cargo space to 59.7 cubic feet by knocking down all the seats, or you can opt for the “+2” seating arrangement that sacrifices 3.5 cubic feet of volume for a tantalizing third row of chairs that seems to turn some consumers into dogs of Pavlov, no matter the degree of usefulness of said added row.The 500L represents Fiat’s (and therefore Chrysler’s) take on a small-car niche that includes the MINI Countryman, Kia Soul, and Honda Fit. New Fiat 500L including a chrome-like treatment for exterior trim pieces like including the door handles, side-view mirrors and taillight surrounds, as well as fog lamps and optional 17-inch aluminum wheels with black accents ($500). There are three other trims – Pop, Easy and Trekking – but the only real alternative to the look you see here is the Trekking model, which butches up the front end in a faux crossover style with an altogether different lower fascia made of matte black plastic.2015 Fiat 500L Interior EngineInterior Fiat 500L 2015 is all hard plastic, but there’s enough strategically-placed padded leatherette inserts to keep your elbows comfy. The seating position is great, all-round visibility is largely clear, there’s tons of storage spaces, and the controls are mostly easy to figure out, including the stubby handbrake lever. There’s even navigation, Bluetooth and a rear camera. Is a special “Beats Edition” in celebration of its ear-shatteringly good Beats Audio system, matte paint, black wheels and some red trim.
