2014 Range Rover Sport Fuel efficiancy Review, There are 3 engines from which you can choose. A base 3 liter V6 gasoline unit it is capable of 340 horsepower which is no slouch. The optional diesels are capable of 258 horsepower and 292 respectively. These are better suited for people concerned by fuel efficiency or for those who like the massive torque offered by these. The most powerful option is a 5 liter supercharged V8 that is capable of more than 500 horsepower. Thanks to this engine, the car is able to outrun cars such as super sedans or even sports cars.
The car is available only as a four wheel drive model and features an eight speed automatic transmission that also offers a manual mode for those who enjoy driving. Because it weighs in excess of 4500 pounds and because it only comes as a four wheel drive, fuel consumption is rather poor. The gasoline V6 will return around 17 MPG in the city and around 22 MPG on the highway while the more powerful V8 will give you 14 MPG in the city and around 19 MPG on the highway. The diesel engines have a much better fuel efficiency and both of them will return around 19 MPG in the city and as much as 27 MPG on the highway.
While the previous car had worse interior equipment and quality than the HSE, this newer model will give you all the gimmicks of the HSE and a few extras. You get satellite navigation with a 10 inch screen as well as a triple zone automatic climate control. There are also, as standard, ventilated and heated seats with leather upholstery and a premium Harman Kardon sound system with two subwoofers.
